So Friday afternoon I get home from work & I find some stuff going on that I NEVER expected. I get an e-mail from a lady who runs her own Jackson type blog, asking me where I got that new B&W picture of JR from. Don't go looking for it here, because I took it down. I would just like to point out that, for the record, I am just a chick that started this blog as an experiment & for a bit of a laugh. I have no connections to the CIA, I have no nefarious intentions in using the pics that I post here. My name is not Dr. Evil. I just want to share the pretty, cause it's, you know... pretty! And I love posting pics as writing inspiration for all you lovely author ladies, that grace my blog with your presence. ;) AND I posted that pic, even though I found the precisely-shaped facial hair disturbing. Good lord, that must have taken long to do! I didn't say anything before, because I thought it was less than polite, but apparently, polite has left the building. I digress.
So anyway, then I see there are two new comments on that post from someone called Phoenix. Turns out it's the photog who took the pic & his sarcasm just burned my ass, so I removed the comments, you know, because I can. I'm a sensitive soul & I offend easily! I'm not leaving that nastiness up on my blog, cause it just pisses me off. I did the right thing & messaged him on Facebook, apologising for using his photo without his permission & explaining that there was no tag on the photo to leave on there in the first place, so that's why there wasn't one. Now I get the whole copyright thing & the fact that he did the work & took the photos, but it just grates on my nerves, having to apologise to someone I don't know from Adam & who, up until 5 minutes before, I didn't even know existed. In his second comment, he tells me that he has just spent 8 days on the road with JR (I'm so happy for him) & has 6000 (no, that is not a typo) new photos that he took of him & 100 Monkeys. And he is releasing a book on the boy himself (that's a direct quote). Then he tells me : "if you wanted some exclusive photos for your site... just ask." Uh... yes, Mr. Photographer Man, I'm going to ask you for photos after you just pissed on my battery at the end of a long, sucky RL week. Let me think on it... uh, no thanks. I'm sure he has loads of great photos (all 6000 of them) & I've checked out his stuff & he really is a great photographer (I mean it), but... in the long-held tradition of cutting one's nose off to spite one's face, I ain't asking.
So, in closing, I loves me some Jackson just as much as the rest of us do, just not enough to put up with this shizz. I'm sure we'll see the pics cropping up everywhere soon & we can look at them then. I'm sure they'll be lovely. Now, I feel like I'm forgetting something... oh, right... I can't finish this post without posting at least one pic, now can I?
This is a picture of my dog D'Artagnan, Darty for short. We had to have him put down at the end of May because his little heart gave out, after 14 wonderful years of precious doggy attitude. That dog pwned me! I miss him so... :( Was that random enough for you, after my rant? =P

I'm going to rant for you! This really gets under my skin. We are fan fiction lovers... writers and readers! We are not columnist, reporters, or the papz. If you were able to find the picture then other, bigger fish, were able to find it too. Mr. Phoenix needs to learn how to properly tag his photos if he doesn't want people to use them! Anyone who knows copyright, trademarking laws should know that. I wish him luck with his book, but if he doesn't want his pictures used before it comes out, he doesn't need to put them on the WEB! Period, point blank. Here's me giving you (Mr. Phoenix) the finger, for being such a tool.
I think it's admirable that you took the picture down, but I'm glad you ranted and told us why. I hope your week gets better! :)
Sorry Carol :( That was pretty sucky! I loved your comment though. You take things a lot better than I do. You're doing a great job with this blog, so keep moving forward! You inspire me to write all of the time:)
Thank you so much, ladies for your comments. I appreciate the support... makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside. LOL! *hugs for you both*
According to the other blog lady that e-mailed me, he had some stuff stolen & they were trying to figure out how the stuff got leaked. Sadly, not my problem, or my fault. But, as I told him in the apology message I sent, I won't use that pic again, promise. Tag or no tag.
Heck with him and his 6000 pictures...I'll hook you up with some of my own footage...it ain't 6000 but it's pretty damn good if I do say so myself! MWAH!
@NCChris - I bet it is! And I will post your stuff with a glad heart, cause you're a MUCH nicer person than that tool! ;) BTW, don't you think 6000 photos is a bit excessive anyway? Good grief! LOL! What's he going to do with them all? Wallpaper his house?
