That's Some Effed Up Shit Right There

I just saw this post on Jackson Rathbone Online and I followed the link to Jodie's blog (also found another great post about it here). You just HAVE to go & read her account of what happened when 100 Monkeys performed at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas last night. It sounds like the management & staff at the venue were complete assholes & really effed up the boys' show. We may not know the band personally, but I'm sure we all know enough to know that they would not have reacted as they did without SEVERE provocation. The whole thing sounds like a complete clusterfuck from start to finish & now they have been banned from playing there ever again. As if they would! They don't strike me as stupid, and wanting to go back to a venue after treatment like that would be extreme stupidity! As Jodie says, the Hard Rock Cafe can SUCK IT! Well done for reacting the way you did, Jodie! Sounds like the boys were lucky to have you there!

Everyone who reads this & Jodie's post, please continue to spread the word about what happened to the band, so that people will now how ridiculously crap the Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas is. Thanks!

Remembering The Pretty AKA Please To Make My Eyes Stop Bleeding

So I've been a bit fail at posting pics of our favorite hottie lately. Sorry 'bout that. You see, I was caught up in my own personal hell. Allow me to explain... I run a blog that is sort of dedicated to the hotness that is Jackson Rathbone, only I find myself not loving the "look" he is sporting at the moment. Not loving it AT ALL! Poor Michelle (Bouncy72) has had me whining to her about it via e-mail for a while now (thanks for listening, bb). And I may have mentioned it to Steph (Cullen818) in an e-mail too (your agreement is what made me realise that there must be others who feel the same way, so thanks).  I wasn't going to say anything, but after a discussion on Twitter the other night, I found out that I am definitely not alone in how I am feeling. Mad love to MaitresseSaint, Circe290, JaspersBella13, and NCChris for the eye-opening chat. There should be a ceremonial burning of the following... the Amish-looking black hat, that effing red bandana and the Harry Potter glasses. And a bit of a haircut & shave is in order too (we want to see that gorgeous face!). But since we can't do any of those things, I present you with an eyeball-cleansing, 'cause I'm generous like that... I call it "Remembering The Pretty"...

1. A Twilight male must be included as the central character. Canon, non-canon pairings and slash are acceptable.

2. Length must be 2500+ words with no max limit.

3. Lemons are not mandatory, but encouraged. We'd also like to see a strong plot.

4. Collabs are welcome.

5. Enter as many times as you'd like.

6. 18 and up only - if you are under 18, you may not enter. Sorry!

7. Use your best grammar and punctuation; it will be screened for entry. We want your fic to have the best possible chance.

8. You may extend your story (and we'd love to see that), but please wait until the contest is over.

9. Fic must be a new o/s developed for this contest. Can be based off of an existing fic, but must be able to stand alone.

We understand Dark fics generally contain dark issues, but we will not accept any fics that contain rape, incest, or any other forced sexual acts. Murder and other off-limits acts will also not be accepted. If you have a question about whether or not a topic is acceptable, feel free to ask.

Belated Music Monday With Some Great News

My apologies... I had this post ready to go last night & my internet connection died, so now it's Music Monday on Tuesday.

Fandom Celebration Day

Dear members of the fandom,

We come to you today with a request. There has been a plethora of negativity lately, floating in and out of the fandom as a whole. Quite frankly, it’s upsetting. There is a reason that every single one of us became part of this fandom. We want to remind everyone what that reason was.

We want to declare February 1st “Fandom Celebration Day.” Each member of our blog will be posting their reasons for joining the fandom and what we like about it in an attempt to shed a positive light on the fandom once more. I Felt Like Another Music Monday

I had a bit of a blue Monday, so I decided to post some more of my favorite songs. Why? Because I can. Well, besides that, they are truly brilliant songs & you really should have a listen. I'll start with some Blur, because they are awesome! As good as The Gorillaz were, it sucked that you couldn't see Damon Albarn's gorgeous face singing the songs. *sigh*

New Blog - Jasper's Naughty Girls

I am thrilled to announce that I'm working on a new blog called Jasper's Naughty Girls, with the lovely ladies you know as Cullen818 & Jasper's Darlin' Kathy. Actually, I have been working on the blog with them all week, but this is the first chance I've had to do a post about it, so yeah... it's been that kind of week. :P Here is a breakdown of what the new blog is  about, in the words of the complete awesomeness that is Stephanie (Cullen818)...

If you crave the dark, dominant fics that we all know and love, then go check out Jasper's Naughty Girls. On this blog, we explore the sexy, "tie you to the bed" type of men that some FF authors capture so well. Here we will focus on all the Twilight men. They can be dark, dominant, tortured, vamp, wolf, human. All pairings are accepted (even slash) as long as the character has some issue that makes him irresistible.

100 Monkeys Videos & A Boy-Wizard Gets Mugged

100 Monkeys' official YouTube channel has released a couple of videos from the show they performed last Tuesday at the Martini Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. They are really great vids. Enjoy!

In the comments section of one of the videos, someone has FINALLY pointed out Jackson's "new" glasses. Now, I've been thinking about this for days now. I didn't want to spread evil rumors so I kept my mouth shut, but now that someone else has pointed it out, I'm just going to say it... HARRY F*CKING POTTER! Jackson Rathbone has perpetrated a heinous crime! Poor little Harry was innocently walking to his next class at Hogwarts, when out of nowhere, J.Action appeared, knocking poor Potter on his ass with his trusty guitar & stealing his GLASSES! Now young Harry wanders from class to class bumping into things, 'cause he can't see where he's going & he can't conjure up another pair, since Jackson took his magic wand, too. Oh, the humanity! Now Jackson is parading around on the 100 Monkeys tour, all smug-like, showing off his Harry Potter glasses. Why did no one stop this from happening? Why, I ask you... WHY? Just give the boy back his glasses, Jackson, and go back to your old ones, for the love of all that is holy. Please! I don't know what you've been told (or what you were on, for that matter), but mugging fictional kids is just NOT COOL! Now that the truth is out, who wants to help me search the delicious Jackson for that magic wand? Hmmm... you've been a VERY bad boy, Jackson, now come here...

Wishing You The Happiest Of Happy New Year's

So ends another year, another decade. I wish for you all in 2010... happiness, healthiness and prosperousness (yes, I know that's not strictly a word, I'm making this up as I go along). And so, to start off 2010 (an exciting time here in South Africa, since we're hosting the Soccer World Cup - even though our national team is rather useless!
